Granado ruled out of action after Sunday Warm Up crash
The Brazilian rider crashed early in the opening session of the day and will take no further part in the Portuguese Round
Eric Granado (PETRONAS MIE Racing Honda Team) will not take part in the remainder of the Pirelli Portuguese Round after his Warm Up crash at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve. The MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship rider came off his Honda CBR1000RR-R machine at Turn 1 after setting just one fast lap, finishing 24th in the classification out of 25 riders. He was taken to the medical centre for a check-up following the crash and was declared unfit with a left wrist contusion and facial abrasion.
The #51 was due to start the Tissot Superpole Race from 23rd on the grid after his Tissot Superpole efforts on Saturday. In Race 1, he finished 21st in the race, directly behind teammate Hafizh Syahrin. However, he will not race in either the Superpole Race or Race 2 after his morning tumble.
